In 2010, a group of Omaha Business Developers got together for a happy hour on a normal Friday afternoon.  They had such a great time; they made plans to get together again in a month.  At the next happy hour, people brought friends, introductions were made, and yet another event was put on the calendar.  After a few events, it was clear there was a need for the FAC in the Omaha market. 

The original intent of the group was to have a standing bi-weekly event in which you could get together with the individuals in the industry that you want to network with most often. On one hand, it would be fun (obviously). But it would also be efficient…as we all spend a great deal of time talking with each other, lunching, etc…  So, why not free up some time during the week and save our companies’ some lunch money, while developing strong relationships in the industry...and get out of work early on a Friday as well? 

And that, my friends, is how the FAC started.
